Job summary

A recruitment agency in the UK is seeking an Engineering Technician for a contract role based in Deeside. The ideal candidate will have an electrical background and relevant qualifications. Responsibilities include repairing and overhauling electronic and electro-mechanical equipment while complying with standards. This is a fully on-site role with a pay rate of £15.85 per hour PAYE, and the position is subject to vetting. Opportunity to supervise and train junior staff is available.

  • Ability to perform Reverse Engineering and create supporting documentation.
  • Experience in supervising and training junior staff when required.

Duration: 6 Months
Pay rate: £15.85ph PAYE or £21.51hr Umbrella
Location: Deeside, Flintshire
Hybrid/Remote Working: Fully on site role
Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Role Information
  • Repair and overhaul of Electronic and Electro-mechanical equipment in a timely and efficient manner whilst complying with legislative and organisational standards.
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Electrical Background
  • Level 4 qualification and advanced/higher apprenticeship; or Level 3 qualification, a nationally recognised Electrical/Electronic engineering apprenticeship
  • Perform self-directed Test; Diagnostics; Repair; Maintenance; Modification; Calibration and Manufacture of Equipment down to module / individual Component level
  • Carry out Feasibility and Development activity, including the Reverse Engineering and Creation of supporting engineering documentation / Test Procedures
  • Supervision: Training and Over-Signing of Junior / Equivalent grade Staff & Apprentices when required
UK National Security Vetting Status

Ability to gain BPSS
