If you're an experienced engineer who enjoys leading from the front and taking pride in delivering high-quality work, this role could be a great fit.

We're recruiting an Engineering Team Leader for a specialist provider supporting the energy, waste and biomass sectors. You'll travel to client sites across the UK (with overnight stays away), work hands‑on with specialist equipment, and lead a small, motivated team.

Please note: While you'll receive excellent training, you must come from an engineering, mechanical maintenance, or plant/machinery maintenance background. This is essential for success in the role.

What makes this opportunity stand out?
  • A genuinely hands‑on role working with specialist plant and equipment
  • The chance to lead, mentor and support a team of two
  • Plenty of variety – each project and site offers something different
  • The ability to take ownership, make decisions and improve processes
  • UK‑wide travel with all expenses covered
  • Consistent hours: Monday‑Friday, 8am‑5pm
Your Responsibilities
  • Working directly on client sites using specialist equipment
  • Leading, motivating and developing your team
  • Managing tools, stock, paperwork and site processes
  • Maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards
  • Conducting site audits and driving continuous improvement
  • Building strong customer relationships
What We're Looking For
  • Essential: Engineering or plant/equipment maintenance background
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Experience working with strict Health & Safety standards
  • Confident working independently once trained
  • Full UK driving licence + right to work in the UK
  • Happy to travel and stay away when required
What's on Offer
  • £31,000 basic, rising to £33,000 after training
  • £5,000 annual allowances + overtime pay
  • £38,000‑£45,000 expected earnings
  • 10% discretionary bonus
  • 30 days holiday including BH (increasing with service)
  • Monday‑Friday, 8am‑5pm
  • All travel and hotels fully expensed
  • Excellent training, equipment and long‑term progression

If you're an engineer who enjoys variety, leadership and hands‑on work, we'd love to hear from you.
