Maintenance Team Leader - FMCG

Location: Droitwich
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - Days Only (No nights!)
Industry: Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and hands‑on Maintenance Team Leader to join a high‑performance engineering team within a fast‑paced FMCG manufacturing facility based in Droitwich. You'll play a key role in leading a team of engineers to ensure maximum uptime across all production and packaging equipment, driving continuous improvement and ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of multi‑skilled engineers on shift
  • Ensure effective execution of planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Prioritise and manage breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve OEE and reliability
  • Maintain and enforce health & safety and compliance standards
  • Support training and development of team members
  • Monitor performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support site projects, installations, and commissioning activities
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a maintenance or engineering environment
  • Strong background in FMCG, food manufacturing, or similar high‑speed production industries
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault finding, and PPM
  • Experience with automation systems, conveyors, packaging lines, and PLC fault diagnosis
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
