StarCompliance in Leeds seeks an Engineering Team Lead to guide a high-performing software team responsible for core components of the Enterprise SaaS platform. You will shape technical direction, drive design decisions, and ensure scalable, secure delivery across the full software lifecycle.

You will lead in an AI-first transformation, embedding AI-assisted development, automating validation, and maintaining high-quality, production-ready services.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with people leadership.
• Strong experience with C# and modern .NET / ASP.NET Core.
• Deep understanding of APIs, software architecture, and modern integration patterns.
• Experience with microservices, containers, and distributed systems.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automated provisioning.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging.
• Experience building and operating enterprise SaaS or cloud-hosted apps.
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong SQL Server knowledge and Azure experience.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and agentic practices.

Responsabilités

• Own the technical direction of systems and services within the team’s domain.
• Lead design decisions and ensure alignment with StarCompliance architecture and standards.
• Drive modernisation, reduce technical debt, and ensure scalability, security, and resilience.
• Ensure software is tested, deployable, observable, and production-ready.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery and health of the team’s products and services.
• Champion AI-first and agentic engineering across the SDLC.
• Build and maintain automation across CI/CD, testing, deployment, and operations.
