Job summary

Hunter Selection is partnering with a leading UK manufacturer to recruit an Engineering Team Leader for their Bristol site. You will lead a shift team of up to five engineers, ensuring equipment reliability and driving improvements in maintenance and performance.

The role focuses on planned maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and safety compliance, in collaboration with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to elevate site performance. An opportunity for growth and leadership is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualification (Level 2 or above).
• Experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude with continuous improvement mindset.
• FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers.
• Coordinate and oversee planned preventive maintenance activities.
• Support rapid response to breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
• Ensure engineering standards, safety and compliance are maintained.
• Collaborate with Maintenance & Engineering Manager to improve site performance.

I'm currently working with a leading manufacturing business in Bristol that is looking to appoint an Engineering Team Leader to support the continued development of their engineering function.

This opportunity would suit either an experienced Engineering Team Leader or a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to take the next step into leadership. You'll lead a team of engineers on shift, ensuring equipment reliability, driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the day-to-day delivery of engineering performance.

The Role:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers
