Job summary

Murphy Geospatial – A Woolpert Company in London is seeking an Engineering Surveyor to join the Monitoring Team. The role involves delivering survey work on infrastructure and construction projects across the UK, with travel to project sites as required.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in engineering/land surveying, experience with Total Stations, GNSS, and AutoCAD, and holds a CSCS Card with a full UK driving licence. Safety on active sites is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years' experience in engineering, construction, monitoring or land surveying.
• Experience using survey instruments such as Total Stations, GNSS equipment, digital levels and data collectors.
• Experience working within the UK construction or infrastructure sector.
• Understanding of monitoring surveys or deformation monitoring advantageous but not essential.
• Experience working to high safety standards on active construction sites.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant survey-processing software.
• CSCS Card.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver survey works on small to medium-sized projects.
• Use total stations, GNSS and data collectors for field surveys.
• Support senior surveyors on larger projects.
• Record surveying data on-site to specification.
• Post-process field data in AutoCAD and related software.
• Assist with field and office surveying assignments.
• Maintain survey equipment in good condition.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties as required by the business.
