Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 per annum
Overview
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Engineering Supervisor (Quoted Works Team) on behalf of one of our clients. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to join a growing and well-established fire and security business. The successful candidate will supervise and support the day-to-day onsite and technical operations of the installation and small works department, ensuring high-quality delivery, team development, and excellent customer service. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel, although all candidates will be considered.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of engineers to deliver installation and small works projects efficiently and to high standards.
- Monitor team performance using KPIs, implementing training and development plans to encourage technical and personal growth.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team and wider business.
- Conduct site visits to resolve technical issues and support customer relationships.
- Assist with resource allocation and workload planning to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Manage and resolve customer disputes effectively, maintaining clear communication throughout.
- Implement and oversee quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
- Collaborate with other engineering supervisors to align practices across departments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of engineering activities and performance data.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong background in installation and small works within the fire and/or security systems industry.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or senior engineering role.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of technical knowledge and understanding of relevant standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
