Job description

Location: Campsfield Immigration Removal Centre Contract Type: Full‑Time Standby Rota 1 week in 4: £175 when on call 40‑hour week

We're looking for a motivated and experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee the delivery of facilities management services, mechanical and electrical PPM tasks, and associated maintenance services across our site. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape service excellence, drive operational performance, and make a real difference every day.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead and inspire a small team of engineers, site staff and subcontractors to deliver efficient, high-quality services.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver services professionally and cost‑effectively.
  • Provide accurate reporting and play a key role in supporting audits across quality, health & safety, environment.
What We’re Looking For

We're seeking a technically strong leader with:

  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical and SFG20/CAFM systems.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confidence in handling escalations and management of both Permit to Work & Safe Systems of Work.
  • Participation in standby rota for emergency calls, outside normal working hours.

  • Customer‑focused with a “can‑do” attitude and eye for detail.
  • Able to prioritise under pressure and solve problems pragmatically.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to encourage and embed the right behaviours across the team.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • Electrical Installation Apprenticeship (Level 3)
  • Experience in technical estates or facilities management environments, including H.V/L.V networks & standby generators
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience preferably
  • Good IT skills with the ability to produce reports from multiple sources/systems

Specific Requirements
  • You must be a British Citizen, EU citizen with settled status, or have an ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) from a Commonwealth country.
  • Bankruptcy history, CCJs, social media activity and criminal convictions will be checked as part of the vetting process.
  • You must have lived in the UK for the past three years with no significant footprint outside of the UK other than for normal holidays.
  • You must be eligible for CTC clearance and hold a valid British passport or an EU passport with a share code. Applicants must have no criminal convictions and must not be subject to any ongoing police investigations.
  • You must have lived and worked in the UK for at least 3 years, without any extended trips overseas.
