Overview

Humdinger, Bromborough (Wirral) – Continental shifts – £54,732 per annum

Humdinger is seeking a new Engineering Supervisor to join our team. As Engineering Supervisor, you will play a vital role in keeping our fast-paced production lines running smoothly. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role, using your mechanical and electrical expertise to guide a team of engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, factory protocols, and company policies.
  • Address safety issues proactively with engineering and safety teams.
  • Oversee shift engineers in process and packing areas for timely, safe task execution.
  • Lead or participate in risk assessments and problem-solving during breakdowns.
  • Utilise and enforce the CMMS system for tracking all engineering activities.
  • Manage contractors, including inductions, permits, and supervision.
  • Provide mechanical and electrical support to maintain equipment efficiency.
  • Perform site maintenance tasks, including breakdowns, PPMs, and setups.
  • Complete paperwork for PPMs, maintenance requests, and non-conformances.
  • Handle engineering stores duties, including ordering and stock management.
  • Assist with site facilities tasks requiring engineering support.
  • Operate Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP) as needed.
  • Train staff in autonomous maintenance practices.
  • Pursue professional development through training courses.
  • Experience within a supervisory role or leading a team of multi-skilled engineers.
  • Competency in Electrical/Mechanical skills through formal qualifications, training, and hands-on experience.
  • Time-served in an engineering discipline with a formal electrical qualification.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ideally within an FMCG environment, with familiarity with machinery used in food production/manufacturing.
  • Experience dealing with contractors.
  • 20 days of annual leave (pro rata due to shift pattern).
