Engineering Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

Location: Wrexham, United Kingdom

Salary: £54,500 + Pension + Benefits

Shifts: Continental – 2 Days & 2 Nights (7am-7pm)

With a reputation built for quality delivery, this secure employer is expanding in the Northwest of the UK.

Role Overview

As the Engineering Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for maximising the performance of the Engineering Team and shift resources to ensure the factory achieves its highest levels of accurate output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Minimise downtime by ensuring regular maintenance of equipment
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns or plant failures
  • Assist the Factory Management Team to achieve objectives on waste reduction, productivity, throughput, quality, etc
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety operating procedures and maintain company and customer technical standards
  • Manage the shift within budgetary constraints
  • Contribute to the construction of a planned preventative maintenance programme
  • Maintain the Engineering Job Order System and keep accurate maintenance records
  • Maintain Company Technical Standards at all times with engineers and contractors
  • Deputise for the Engineering Shift Manager as necessary
Key Skills & Experience
  • Experienced electrical or mechanical Engineer with proven supervisory experience and excellent supervisory skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent numeracy and computer skills
