Job summary

A leading food manufacturing business in Northwich is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead engineering activity during shift and ensure the plant runs efficiently. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, have strong mechanical or electrical engineering knowledge, and a proven track record in leadership within regulated industries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar Engineering Supervisor or Team Leader role.
• Background in food manufacturing, FMCG, or another regulated industry.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering knowledge.
• Confident managing teams and leading from the front.
• Flexible to work rotating shifts or nights, depending on site structure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Engineers during your shift.
• Oversee all planned and reactive maintenance activity.
• Ensure minimal downtime and support production targets.
• Drive a proactive maintenance culture as an Engineering Supervisor.
• Support continuous improvement and engineering projects.
• Maintain site compliance with health & safety and food safety standards.
• Act as the senior engineering contact on shift, escalating issues when needed.
