Salary: £55,000-£60,000 per year

Are you an experienced Maintenance Supervisor looking to lead a skilled engineering team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment?

We are seeking a proactive, hands‑on leader to manage and develop the site engineering function, ensuring machinery and equipment operate effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on problem‑solving, team leadership, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate the site engineering team to deliver high performance and operational excellence
  • Manage the daily work of maintenance technicians and contractors, ensuring tasks are prioritised effectively
  • Plan and coordinate project works to ensure completion on time and within budget
  • Liaise with senior management to schedule maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support CMMS usage to maintain accurate maintenance records and streamline processes
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and process standards across the engineering function
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to develop team capability and performance
Requirements
  • Formal engineering qualification (HNC, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational abilities
  • Prior experience leading multi‑disciplined teams within FMCG (food, pharmaceutical, etc.)
Desirable
  • IOSH / NEBOSH certification
  • Experience with computer‑based financial or CMMS systems
