Engineering Supervisor (Days)

As our Engineering Supervisor, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment and facilities. You will lead and support a small team of engineers, driving high standards in maintenance, planning, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and manage day‑to‑day engineering activities across the site.
  • Lead maintenance planning for planned and unplanned shutdowns.
  • Oversee spare parts management, procurement, and stock control.
  • Support and develop the engineering team to deliver proactive maintenance and problem‑solving.
  • Ensure all engineering work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Drive improvements in plant reliability, downtime reduction, and preventative maintenance.
  • Collaborate with production and planning teams to minimize disruption and maximize uptime.
  • Hands‑on electrical and mechanical maintenance engineering.
Qualifications
  • Time‑served engineer with mechanical or electrical bias or recognised engineering qualifications.
  • Proven experience in maintenance supervision or team leadership within a food/FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of planned maintenance systems (PPM) and asset management.
  • Confident in planning shutdowns, prioritising workloads, and managing spare parts.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a hands‑on approach.
