Qualifications

• Experience in procurement/buying within engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings or specifications (desirable).
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems for purchasing.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator across departments.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and purchasing components, materials, and services to support production/engineering requirements.
• Negotiating pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers.
• Managing supplier relationships and monitoring performance (quality, delivery, cost).
• Processing purchase orders and maintaining accurate procurement records.
• Working closely with engineering, production, and stores teams to ensure stock availability.
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or lead time.
• Resolving supply chain issues and delivery delays proactively.
