A leading energy services provider is seeking an Engineering Operations Manager in Winfrith, Dorchester. The role requires strong nuclear industry experience, responsible for team management and operational safety. Ideal candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience. The Engineering Operations Manager will be responsible for the safety and protection of the workforce and the public from nuclear materials held on site. Essential to meeting these targets will be the requirement to develop and deliver customer service and market driven innovation whilst fostering a culture within the business of empowerment and accountability, with a focus on sector leading operational performance. The ideal candidate will bring robust nuclear industry experience, particularly within operational management, and demonstrate a strong ability for engineering process management and leadership of a team.

Self‑motivated, with a professional and positive approach. Responsible for the safe and timely delivery of all operational and engineering works whilst remaining compliant with all relevant legislation and internal procedures.

Delivering Results – Work with stakeholders to deliver against timelines. Be financially aware and able to work within and monitor a budget.
Embracing change – Assist the TI Central Engineering and TI Maintenance teams in the design of mechanical and civil elements of assigned and new projects. This includes surveying, detail design, specification, procurement, installation supervision, inspection, commissioning, and documentation.
Agile Decision making – Report emerging project variance and assist in taking appropriate mitigating action.
Developing self and others – Set and monitor key objectives for direct reports and their performance on an ongoing basis in line with PDR requirements.
Communication and influence – Good written, presentation and verbal communication skills. Manage the communication of goals and actions to enable best practice for teams while fostering a culture of ownership.
Personal Development – Take responsibility for continuous professional development.
5 years experience working within the nuclear industry and delivering operational/engineering duties.
