Job summary

Haughey Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Dungannon area. This senior role leads a multidisciplinary engineering team, delivering projects from concept to production and driving product development, cost control, and engineering standards.

The role requires overseeing NPD/NPI, DFMA improvements, and close collaboration with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Sales to meet customer demands and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience leading engineering function in manufacturing.
• Experience in aggregate washing, quarrying, recycling or heavy machinery.
• Strong 3D CAD capability (Creo).
• Experience with BOMs, engineering change control & product configuration.
• NPD/NPI and continuous improvement experience.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of engineering costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Own engineering projects from concept to production.
• Drive NPD/NPI and continuous product improvement.
• Maintain engineering standards for drawings, BOMs, design reviews and changes.
• Improve design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) and cost efficiency.
• Support Sales and Applications with complex projects.
• Manage resources, priorities, budgets and delivery timelines.
• Drive standardisation and modularisation across products.
• Lead root-cause analysis and quality improvements.
• Ensure designs comply with machinery safety standards.
• Develop engineering KPIs and team performance.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales and Senior Management.
