A leading defense contractor in the UK seeks a skilled engineering team leader to manage the design and definition of Electrical Power Systems. The role involves leading a team, engaging with customers, and overseeing technical documentation. Ideal candidates have experience in power systems and strong analytical skills. Hybrid working is available, requiring visits to various UK locations.
Location: Barrow-in-Furness/Filton – Hybrid (2 days a fortnight in Barrow, 1 day a week in Filton, plus regular visits to other UK sites).
Salary: Up to £61,967 (commensurate with skills and experience). The Electrical Power Systems Definition team works on the UK's next‑generation SSN design that incorporates technology from the UK, Australia and the United States. You will be part of the Electrical Power team responsible for leading a team of engineers in defining the system elements required to feed into the submarine design and build process, including design documentation, spatial modelling and build outputs. This role will provide you with an opportunity to travel to various locations throughout the UK, including various BAE, customer and supplier sites. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
