Job summary

Spacewise, a UK subsidiary of Triton International, is hiring a Manager, Engineering to lead container inspection, maintenance, and repair programs in Rainham. You will oversee depot operations, manage repair vendors, and ensure compliance with standards across dry, reefer, and special equipment.

You will collaborate with operations, logistics, and sales teams to optimize fleet performance, control costs, and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in container maintenance, equipment engineering, depot operations, logistics, shipping, or related roles.
• Refrigeration/HVAC or electrical engineering experience, ideally with reefers.
• Experience managing engineers/contractors and repair turnaround.

Responsibilities

• Oversee container inspection programs for structural damage and safety concerns.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair for dry containers, reefers, and special equip.
• Supervise depots, technicians, surveyors, and third-party service providers.
• Review repair estimates and decide on repair, sale, or scrapping based on cost and ops.
• Monitor repair expenses and maintenance budgets to maximize fleet utilization.
• Input maintenance details into company databases and ensure data accuracy.
