Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Track record delivering production systems.
• Hands-on technical background with Python and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong stakeholder management and people leadership skills.
• Experience with AI/ML, optimisation or simulation would be beneficial in logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of 6-10 engineers and data scientists, setting priorities and supporting their development.
• Own delivery from technical planning through to deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and code reviews, helping the team make sound technical decisions.
• Work closely with Product Owners and operational stakeholders to translate business needs into engineering requirements.
• Support the delivery of AI, optimisation and simulation capabilities that improve operational efficiency.
• Drive engineering standards across testing, maintainability, deployment and monitoring.
• Recruit, coach and develop a high-performing team.
