Job summary

Henry Schein One UK is seeking a capable Software Engineering Lead to guide a team of engineers in delivering scalable SaaS for dental practice management. You will drive architectural decisions, improve reliability, and balance speed with quality. Strong leadership and cloud experience are essential to succeed in our AWS-based stack.

You’ll collaborate across product, design, and data teams, ensuring robust testing and observability while fostering growth and high performance within the team.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading software engineering teams.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails backend and Ember.js frontend.
• Strong AWS, CI/CD, observability and incident practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~4–6 engineers, balancing hands-on work with people management.
• Collaborate with PMs, other engineers, and stakeholders on projects.
• Drive pragmatic architectural choices balancing scale, security and cost.
• Set coding standards, review code, and improve tooling and CI/CD.
• Improve incident playbooks, monitoring and reliability initiatives.
