Job summary

Quest Global, a leading engineering services firm, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering, quality, production, integration, and in-service support activities. You will manage technical issues, dependencies and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities include day-to-day task direction, deliverable review, and governance with customers. Travel to customer sites and service providers will be required as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams on complex projects.
  • Experience with engineering change, configuration and asset management is desirable.
  • Graduate or post graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Project management experience is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for in-service engineering activities.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve engineering issues and minimise operational impact.
  • Lead continuous improvement to enhance reliability and maintainability.
  • Ensure documentation and risk assessments for in-service activities are up to date.

Engineering Manager

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering, quality, production, integration, capability development and in-service support activities. Manage technical issues, dependencies and stakeholder engagement.

What You Will Do

The Client will be responsible for day-to-day task assignment and project direction, review and acceptance of deliverables, and technical governance and customer interface.

  • Provide technical leadership for in-service engineering activities
  • Work with project chiefs and stakeholders to resolve engineering issues, minimising operational impact
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and maintainability
  • Coordinate with logistics, maintenance, and supply chain teams to meet support requirements
  • Maintain clear documentation and risk assessments related to in-service activity
What Will You Bring
  • Proven experience managing engineering teams within complex projects, ideally within Defence environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, capable of working with large, multi-functional communities
  • Experience managing engineering change, configuration, and asset management is desirable
  • Experience within an in-service or support environment, particularly within GMPP or CAT A programmes, would be advantageous
Desired Experience
  • Army vehicle background, MOD/DE&S knowledge, support management, asset management, military equipment experience, stakeholder management.
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) for this role.

Work Experience
Key Technical/Professional Competencies
  • Good knowledge on various manufacturing processes
  • Experience in lean & 5S management
  • Exposure to Aero/ Auto industry is preferred
  • Awareness of aerospace/auto quality requirements (AS9100, OSHAS, TS 16949, various ISO )
Education & Professional Qualification
  • Graduate /Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum hands on experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Project management experience is must
