About the Role

We are currently looking for a Factory / Engineering Manager to join our team and play a critical role in leading the day-to-day running of the engineering function. This is a hands-on leadership role where you\'ll balance strategic thinking with practical problem-solving to ensure optimal plant performance.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you\'ll oversee a team of engineers and technicians, with responsibility for reducing downtime, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring that all engineering activity supports the production of high-quality products in a safe and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the engineering function across all production shifts.
  • Reduce machine and operational downtime through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report against KPIs to drive performance, output, and efficiency.
  • Plan and oversee shift management, including team coverage and workflow planning.
  • Develop and implement robust procedures to improve plant performance and maintain high product quality.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety practices across all engineering activities.
  • Support and lead operational process improvements and plant upgrades.
  • Provide leadership, support and development to a team of engineers.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs when required (paid at enhanced rates).
