Job summary

Vargo Group is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead R&D projects on a permanent basis. The role combines technical leadership, project management and people management to deliver innovative solutions and new products for customers.

You will drive design and development, mentor engineers, review technical designs, and coordinate testing and verification programmes across multiple projects while supporting growth in custom-engineered solutions and new markets.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in product development or engineering.
• Experience managing technical projects and leading teams.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Excellent problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new products and technologies.

Vargo is supporting a multinational engineering business with the appointment of an experienced Engineering Manager to lead on R&D Projects, on a permanent basis.

This is a technical leadership role responsible for leading the development of innovative solutions and ensuring the successful delivery of new products, customer-specific developments and technology improvement projects. The role combines technical leadership, project management and people management, supporting growth in custom-engineered solutions, new markets and technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of new products and technologies.
• Drive the design and development of customer-specific solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers.
• Review and approve technical designs, calculations, specifications and drawings.
• Support complex customer applications and technical problem-solving.

Required Experience Includes
