Job summary

Explore Group in London is seeking a Software Lead Engineer to join an agile team of 5. This hands-on leadership role bridges software and hardware across Gen AI, Cloud / Backend / TypeScript, and Product Systems.

You don't need to be an expert in all three areas, but you should have breadth to drive product execution. The role requires onsite commuting to London and a strong track record of leading technical teams.

Qualifications

• Domain Focus: Strong understanding and experience in Physical AI (Machine Learning experience is a strong plus).
• Leadership: Proven track record of leading a small technical team.
• Background: Computer Science degree (or equivalent) from a top-tier university.
• Industry Experience: Background working within hardware-for-software or robotics/hardware-adjacent tech companies.
• Tech Stack: Exposure to TypeScript, Back-End infrastructure, and Cloud systems.
• Location: Must be based in or willing to commute onsite to London.

About the Role
