The Engineering Manager will organise, lead, coordinate and direct a multi-discipline design engineering team (including technical, safety case and supply chain as applicable) that delivers engineering work packages (specification, analysis, verification or assessment of engineering). Orano is currently involved in fast‑paced projects for the design of nuclear gloveboxes for analysis and R&D work, including handling of SNM and MoX material. This work is for a variety of UK clients and the candidate will be deployed onto one of these. Experience in nuclear glovebox design, commissioning or operations would be a benefit, as would experience in SNM or MoX plants. The candidate must be comfortable working on UK defence projects. Location: Warrington or Abingdon (hybrid).
Minimum – BEng (Hons).
Preferred – MEng (Hons). Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Fellow (FEng). NOTE: Equivalent experience can be offered in lieu of chartership if it is deemed appropriate by the Head of Engineering.
The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK, and be willing to undergo a security vetting process. Offers of employment will be subject to relevant security clearance being granted. Close working relationships with other Orano sites and client sites may be required, which necessitates regular travel to those sites (dependent upon project & client requirements).
