Job summary

Spencer Rose Ltd. seeks an experienced Engineering Lead to drive end-to-end delivery across strategic banking initiatives. The role is hybrid, with 2 days a week in Central London, and starts ASAP.

The contract runs for an initial 6 months, with extensions likely. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, set engineering strategy, and ensure quality, security, and timely delivery in a complex banking environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading large engineering teams.
• Experience delivering large-scale banking transformation programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering squads delivering complex banking solutions.
• Define engineering strategy, standards, and best practices.
• Drive engineering excellence, productivity improvements, and technical innovation.
• Own end-to-end technology delivery across programs and releases.
• Monitor engineering metrics, technical debt, and platform stability.
