Job summary

Ganymede is seeking an experienced Standards, Governance & Engineering Assurance Manager to shape the governance framework behind a major rail organisation. The role combines designing governance structures with translating regulatory requirements into practical standards, ensuring safety, asset integrity and performance across the business.

You'll work across engineering, operations and leadership, driving improvements, engaging regulators, and presenting governance proposals to executive teams

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing engineering governance frameworks.
• Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical standards and processes.
• Strong track record of managing governance in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engineering governance frameworks and assurance arrangements.
• Translate regulatory and industry requirements into practical organisational standards and processes.
• Develop governance structures that support safety, asset integrity and operational performance.
• Establish assurance processes that verify compliance with engineering and organisational requirements.
• Identify gaps and implement improvements in governance arrangements.
• Collaborate with engineers, technical authorities and senior stakeholders.
• Engage with regulators and industry bodies to support governance.
• Develop and maintain standards, policies and governance documentation.
• Present governance proposals to executives and leadership teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across governance and assurance activities.
