Job summary

Henry Gunn is seeking an Engineering Geologist in Exeter to join a well-established geo-environmental consultancy. The role combines site work, technical reporting and client liaison with ongoing internal and external training.

Role requires logging soil/rock to BS5930, preparing factual and interpretative reports, and site supervision. Flexible working includes office and home days; a driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Geology or geotechnical degree required.
• Experience in ground investigation.
• Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and reporting.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite/in the office at least 3 days a week and the rest at home.

The Role

I am currently on the lookout for Junior and Main Grade Engineering Geologists, to join a well-established, award‑winning geo‑environmental consultancy based in Exeter. This is a varied position combining site work, technical reporting and client liaising and offers on‑going internal and external training and support.

Requirements

• Relevant degree: Geology, Geotechnical, or another related discipline
• Experience in ground investigation
• Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and reporting
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work onsite/in the office at least 3 days a week and the rest at home
