Engineering Facilities Projects Manager - Bahrain

We are currently recruiting for a well‑established Hospitality Group in Bahrain that is looking to add an Engineering Facilities Projects Manager to their team. The Engineering Facilities Projects Manager will be responsible for supporting the owned properties in the delivery of key complex renovations in line with the Engineering Facilities disciplines functional strategy.

A bit about the role:
  • Leads projects from inception to completion
  • Plan, budget, and manage engineering and construction projects, from design to completion, ensuring they stay on time and within budget.
  • Oversee daily maintenance, implement preventive maintenance schedules, and coordinate repairs for all building systems and equipment
  • Ensure the property complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations through regular inspections and by developing emergency response plans
  • Develop and manage the engineering department's budget, including operational expenses, capital expenditures, and procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Liaise with and manage external contractors and vendors for projects, repairs, and services.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on facility performance, maintenance activities, project status, and energy consumption.
  • Ensure all facilities are well‑maintained to provide a high standard of comfort and functionality for guests and respond promptly to maintenance issues.
Ideal candidate:
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field - certifications or advanced degrees in project management may be beneficial.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in engineering, facilities management, or construction, preferably in the hospitality or hotel industry. Overall 15 years of experience in the same domain is a must
  • Proficiency in engineering principles and knowledge of building systems and equipment is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • GCC experience is a must
