This role offers growth within a company moving to deliver in niche markets, while supporting current clients and shareholders. You will mentor junior engineers, oversee design reviews, and contribute to risk management and bid activities.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified and chartered engineer with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record on major M&E projects.
• Broad cross-disciplinary knowledge across design teams.
• Experience in food, manufacturing, high care, and high-hazard industries desirable.
• Experience working on international projects desirable.
• Bid submissions and work-winning experience.
• Previous design management role.
• Understanding of task duration for conceptualisation, design and testing.
• Ability to identify risks and mitigations.

Responsibilities

• Aiding trainees with learning and development.
• Overseeing internal and external design teams.
• Tracking and reviewing design documentation.
• Leading project and design review meetings.
• Value engineering of the project.
• Commitment to Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and graduate engineers.
• Implement Safety Management System requirements in their area.
• Coordinate multiple live projects.
• Prepare and attend tender meetings in a design capacity.
• Assist Design Leads in resource reviews and outputs.
• Coordinate with Construction QA, Cost Control, and procurement.
