Role Overview

Reporting to the Maintenance of Line (MOL) Manager, the Engineering Change Note (ECN) Process Engineer is responsible for running the ECN process, which is key for any change to the many product lines we manufacture. This role is located in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

Typical Day
  • Manage the ECN process, including interdepartmental communication, reporting ECN KPIs, entering new assemblies and parts into our ERP system, and processing production permits and process change notes.
  • Understand the electro‑mechanical design changes that need to be made and why.
  • Work with engineering and quality teams to fault‑find, set up design of experiments and testing, and improve Linx products and system reliability.
Essential Requirements
  • Process driven and proactive individual from an Engineering background with at least 3 years of experience working with engineering design changes.
  • Experience responsible for an engineering change system.
  • Experience entering and maintaining engineering data on an ERP system such as Oracle.
  • Advanced user of MS Excel and macros.
  • Experience with electro‑mechanical systems and/or 3D CAD packages such as Creo or Solidworks (desirable).
  • A strong desire to work in a fast‑paced, multifaceted environment with exposure to a wide variety of projects.
