Job summary

The City of Liverpool College is seeking a CBE/Engineering Lecturer to deliver engineering teaching across Level 1 to Level 5, including evening provision, in Liverpool. The role focuses on practical and theoretical elements in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and related disciplines, with contribution to curriculum development and improvement of teaching and learning.

The post requires a degree in engineering, vocational experience in civil/related fields, and a recognised teaching

Qualifications

• Degree level relevant to the subject area.
• Relevant vocational experience in Civil Engineering.
• Recent experience of teaching and assessing on professional construction courses.
• A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to complete.
• Knowledge and understanding of professional construction provision.
• Proven relevant experience of curriculum planning, development & delivery in professional construction.
• Excellent computer literacy.
• Engaged in continuing professional development.
• Minimum of Level 3 literacy and numeracy or willingness to complete.
• High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to set high standards for students, colleagues and for themselves.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching, learning and assessment across programmes from Level 1 to Level 5, including evening provision.
• Create inclusive and stimulating learning environments enabling all students to reach their potential.
• Integrate current industry knowledge and professional experience into delivery.
• Contribute to curriculum development and support improvement of teaching and learning.
• Plan and deliver high quality lessons to manage the learning process effectively.
• Liaise with leadership to design programmes and teaching approaches achieving high standards.
