Engineering Assistant

Location: High Peak

Salary: £34,461 + Pension + Bonus

Working days and hours: 7:30am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs; Fridays 7:30am-11:30am

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a UK owned leading food manufacturer, a growing and supportive organisation. The Company are extremely well established with over 85 years of manufacturing experience, and is a truly British manufacturer, and is privately owned with over 150 people on site in Middlewich. They are looking to expand their engineering team once again due to increased growth in their market share.

Key Skills

• Ability to work within a team

• Understanding of PPM systems

The Role

• Planned Maintenance activities across site, including oiling/greasing
• Maintain a clean, safe & organised working environment
• Dismantling/reassembling cookers for statutory inspections
• Recording work on Maintenance Management system (shire)
• Holiday cover for boiler house operative including call out
• Participation in Machinery moves, installations & shutdown work
• Ordering spare parts & liaising with contractors
• Ensuring insurance inspections and documentation for cookers
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
• Infrequent deliveries and collections
