Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a leading NI FMCG manufacturer to recruit an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Manager for a busy site in Belfast. You will lead the engineering and maintenance function, drive reliability and capital projects, and ensure safety and engineering compliance.

The ideal candidate has senior maintenance or engineering experience in manufacturing, with strong mechanical, electrical and automation knowledge, plus CMMS, PLC/SCADA experience and a track record of managing

Qualifications

• Senior maintenance or engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge with electrical and automation experience.
• Experience with CMMS, OEE, PLC, SCADA and industrial process systems.
• Proven experience managing teams, budgets, contractors and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the maintenance and engineering team.
• Improve plant reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Manage preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement activity.
• Manage engineering budgets, contractors and spare parts.
• Provide technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, PLC, SCADA and automation systems.
• Deliver engineering and capital projects from scope through to commissioning.
• Ensure strong health & safety, statutory and engineering compliance.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function within a busy manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for plant reliability, planned maintenance, engineering standards, team leadership and capital project delivery.

As the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, you will:
