Engineering and Maintenance Coordinator

We’re looking for an Engineering & Maintenance Coordinator to join our Kemsley site. In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating day‑to‑day engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring the plant runs safely, efficiently, and sustainably. You’ll work closely with the wider team to plan and deliver maintenance programmes, manage compliance, and support performance improvement initiatives. You’ll also have the opportunity to step in for the Site Manager when required.

Key Activities
  • Lead and promote a strong safety culture across the site, ensuring compliance with SHE standards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee short, medium, and long‑term maintenance programmes, including unplanned work and outages.
  • Deliver the site’s engineering and maintenance strategy, including procurement of plant, tools, equipment, and management of maintenance stores.
  • Support daily operations through attendance at coordination meetings and alignment with operational priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and company standards, supporting audits and implementing actions as required.
  • Prepare work packages, risk assessments, and method statements in line with management of change procedures.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability, availability, and efficiency.
  • Manage, develop, and support the maintenance team, including budget oversight and contractor management.
  • Promote operational technology (OT) cyber security awareness and embed improvements within maintenance processes.
What we need from you
  • Sound understanding of power station operations, engineering compliance, and maintenance best practice.
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent), with strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • HNC qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • The ability to interpret and analyse complex technical data and a thorough knowledge of production/generation processes at a Generation asset.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft programs including experience in producing concise written reports.
  • Awareness of OT cyber security risks and controls within an engineering setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate, influence and persuade others to achieve business goals.
