Job description

Role: Fixed Electrical Test Engineer

Location:

Southampton or Portsmouth areas. Home based with daily travel to client sites, with a focus on minimizing travel and localised geographical areas.

Salary:

Starting salary of £40,816 plus a company car or £4,250 car allowance and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct high-quality testing and inspection of electrical installations.
2. Operate independently and as part of a team, maintaining a customer-focused approach.
3. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Experience & Skills:

• Relevant electrical knowledge and experience in a similar role.
• Time-served apprenticeship with 18th edition certification.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of industry trends, legislation, and H&S requirements.

Qualifications:

• 18th Edition regulations.
• City & Guilds Part 1, 2, and 3 or Level 3 City and Guilds 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installation (HNC desirable).
• Preferably City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 courses (or equivalent).
• Valid driving license.
• GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.
