Overview

Engineer Surveyor – Crane & Lifting Equipment

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Basic from £40,290, Company Car, Benefits

A growing organisation is currently looking for a Engineer Surveyor to cover the Birmingham area inspecting Crane & Lifting equipment. Working on a Monday-Friday basis with flexible working hours, you will be required to visit client sites to make sure all equipment is working to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect Crane & Lifting equipment and visit client sites to verify equipment operates to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
  • Work on a Monday-Friday basis with flexible working hours; visit client sites to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Able to work unsupervised and make decisions on the condition and future use of equipment.
  • Able to work at height and in confined spaces.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and influence their decisions regarding equipment use and maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Ideally hold an NVQ Level 4 or Equivalent Engineering-based qualification. The client will consider a minimum NVQ Level 3 with candidates who have inspection experience or are currently employed as an Engineer Surveyor.
  • Hands-on experience of maintaining, servicing and repairing or working with various pieces of crane, lift or lifting equipment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of LOLER & PUWER regulations.
  • Must be able to live in or around the Birmingham area.

  • Working a 40-hour week, Monday – Friday, including travel.
