Job description

Working Hours: Monday-Friday (Day Shift)

  • Mon-Thu: 07:30-16:30

  • Fri: 07:30-14:00

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair faults on a wide range of machinery and plant equipment.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance in line with scheduled plans, including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting equipment, and updating maintenance records.
  • Perform safety checks and risk assessments, implementing actions to minimise hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Ensure safe systems of work are followed at all times, including COSHH requirements.
  • Work collaboratively to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve technical issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance plans and progress.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Promote safe working practices, following procedures and wearing appropriate PPE/RPE.
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognised trade apprenticeship or a relevant engineering qualification with suitable experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Conscientious, hard-working, flexible, and safety-focused.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability, good interpersonal skills, and capable of working to tight deadlines.
