Checkout.com is seeking an enthusiastic Engineer I to join the team responsible for People (HCM) integrations. You will help connect Workday with the wider Checkout.com technology ecosystem, owning day-to-day reliability, support, and continuous improvement of integrations rather than just break-fix tasks.

You’ll partner with the People Team, Finance Technology and Global Corporate Technology to keep data flowing across Workday, ERP, and downstream platforms.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in any integration or technical field with a desire to specialise in Workday integrations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English, able to coordinate with finance and global technology teams.
• Experience building integrations between platforms in a fast-paced corporate environment with urgency and ownership.
• Knowledge of Workday integration tooling: EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS, Studio, Orchestrate.
• Familiarity with integration patterns and technologies: REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, XML, JSON, and middleware platforms.

Checkout.com is looking for an enthusiastic Engineer I to join the team responsible for People (HCM) systems.

Their day-to-day focus will be on the integrations that connect Workday with the wider Checkout.com technology ecosystem. This is an early-career role for someone ready to operate independently with guidance — owning the day-to-day reliability, support, and continuous improvement of People Tech integrations rather than only handling basic break-fix work.

You'll partner closely with the People Team, Finance Technology and Global Corporate Technology teams to keep critical people data flowing accurately across Workday, our ERP, and other downstream platforms. You'll help ensure integrations are stable, well-documented, and scalable as our people processes evolve.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Support the build, maintain, and enhance integrations between our Finance (ERP) and People (HCM) systems, including Workday, and the broader Checkout.com tech stack




• Independently triage, diagnose, and resolve integration failures and data discrepancies within SLA, escalating when issues exceed defined complexity thresholds




• Support with the development of Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS, Workday Studio and Workday Orchestrate




• Partner with Finance and People stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable, well-documented integrations




• Support the data flows behind critical processes including Joiner/Mover/Leaver, payroll, vendor master, AP, and GL postings




• Monitor integration health, build alerting for failures, and proactively address recurring issues before they impact stakeholders




• Support Workday and ERP release cycles through impact analysis, regression testing, and change management




• Author clear technical documentation, integration runbooks, and knowledge base entries to support the team and downstream users

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year's experience in any integration or technical field with a desire to specialise in Workday integrations. Training will be provided for those who are less workday experienced.




• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English, with the ability to coordinate seamlessly with finance and global technology teams




• Experience building integrations between platforms in a fast-paced corporate environment, with a track record of acting with urgency and ownership.




• Experience with Workday’s integration tooling (EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS, Studio, Orchestrate)




• Basic knowledge of integration patterns and technologies: REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, XML, XSLT, JSON, and middleware platforms (e.g., Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi)




• Tooling Awareness: Expertise with market-leading Finance and People systems such as Workday, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or ZIP




• Creative problem-solving skills with a strong customer service mindset, a positive can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop. Capable of researching independently to find solutions to various integration issues.




• Basic awareness of SOX, audit, and data privacy considerations in financial and HR systems is preferred.




• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English, with the ability to coordinate seamlessly with Finance, People, and global technology teams..
