Job summary

A leading security systems provider in Greater London is seeking a Service Engineer to join their field-based team. The ideal candidate will provide remediation and routine maintenance services on various security systems including CCTV and Intruder systems. Applicants should possess relevant technical knowledge in at least two such disciplines, a full UK driving license, and strong customer service skills. Qualifications

  • Ability to demonstrate good technical knowledge in CCTV, Intruder, Access Control & Perimeter systems.
  • Full UK driving license required.
  • Good standards of IT skills and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first line Remedial Reactive service and Routine Maintenance activities.
  • Repair, maintain and service systems according to company procedures.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with installations, maintenance, and service visits.
  • Participate in standby call out rota if required.

Job description

The Service Engineer is field based and part of a team. They are required to travel throughout defined geographical areas, reporting directly to a regional Supervisor, and Regional Manager. Candidates will be diverse and with training able to maintain and service multi-disciplined systems which may consists of one or multiple of the following: Sophisticated CCTV, Access Control, Perimeter Detection, Intruder Detection, Integrated Management Systems, Intercoms, PC's and other computer platforms. Some of which are unique and bespoke products. Training: As we serve a distinct distinctive market with specific requirements, training will be provided through various means for the right candidate. This includes external and Internal formal courses, and mentoring. Though experience in any of the above disciplines is desirable and beneficial, with the ability to demonstrate good fundamental technical knowledge via formal qualifications, technical assessment or evidenced experience, is required.

Goals and Objectives
  • To provide first line Remedial Reactive service and Routine Maintenance activities to all the company & third-party products in use, throughout the local region.
  • To assist in providing Commissioning and Installation support for Project Works if required.
Core Responsibilities
  • To repair, maintain and service systems in accordance with the relevant company procedures, engineer instructions and specific system specifications.
  • To ensure that the client is satisfied in all aspects of the installation, maintenance, and service visits prior to leaving site, and to always project a high level of Quality Customer Service.
  • To be available for standby on a call out rota, as required within the team.
  • Good basic education and ideally a relevant qualification in the electrical/ Electronic industry.
  • Alternatively able to demonstrate in depth knowledge through assessment.
  • Field Service Experience.
  • Good standard of IT skills. (Computer Literate).
  • Good level of Customer Service experience.
  • IPAF, ECS, CSCS, Safety Passport holder, or similar would be beneficial.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Able to demonstrate good technical knowledge in at least two of the following disciplines: CCTV, Intruder, Access Control & Perimeter systems, Networking.
