Commercial Gas Engineer

Salary

£41,818.21 - £45,303.07

Contract

Full Time/Permeant

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Whitemoor, a high‑security male prison. We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time‑bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a combustion engineer with any combination of:

  • CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units
  • COCN1 - Core commercial gas safety certificate and relevant commercial units
  • Two years experience working in a role as a heating engineer, a combustion engineer or equivalent
  • Plumbing qualifications to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing & Heating) and NVQ Lvl 3 in Plumbing or equivalent or NVQ Lvl 2, with substantial experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with, and ability to work to Water Supply Regulations and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Experience of reactive maintenance, fault finding and resolution, installations, testing and commissioning
