Job description

Our client a leading UK housebuilder is seeking an experienced professional to support the full development lifecycle in West Yorkshire from early site appraisal through to detailed design, technical approvals and construction support. This role offers the chance to shape major residential schemes while working in a collaborative, solutions-focused environment.

The Role

Produce or review civil engineering designs (roads, sewers, levels, drainage, foundations).

Manage external consultants and coordinate with statutory bodies (Highways, Water Authorities, Environment Agencies).

Secure technical consents and ensure compliance with CDM, environmental and regulatory requirements.

Provide engineering input through planning, building regulations and construction phases.

Support land appraisals, site viability and community engagement.

What You'll Bring

Strong experience in residential development engineering.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, PDS, Windes / MicroDrainage.

Ability to interpret geotechnical / environmental reports and recommend solutions.

Solid understanding of ground conditions, foundation / substructure design and remediation.

Relevant engineering qualification (degree or equivalent—RICS / ICE preferred).

Able to prioritise, meet deadlines and work effectively within a technical team
