Are you a hands-on engineer looking to build your career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're working with a leading organisation in Doncaster that's seeking a motivated Semiskilled Engineer to join their friendly and dynamic Engineering team.

About the Role

As a Semiskilled Engineer, you'll support the smooth running of operations by assisting with maintenance, repairs, and general engineering duties across the site. Working closely with experienced engineers, you'll gain valuable practical experience while helping to ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently.
You'll work on a Double Days shift pattern, with great opportunities for development, training, and overtime.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist with planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns under supervision.

  • Carry out basic mechanical and electrical repairs and adjustments.

  • Support engineers with improvement projects and general maintenance tasks.

  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, cleanliness, and equipment care.

  • Monitor and report any equipment faults or hazards promptly.

  • Work effectively as part of the wider production and engineering team.

About You
  • Previous experience in a hands-on engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing role.

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems (training provided).

  • NVQ Level 2 (or working towards Level 3) in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field.

  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

  • Safety-conscious and reliable with good teamwork and communication skills.

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
