Job summary

A leading technical services company is seeking an ATU Technician to support the setup, operation, and maintenance of test rigs in Gillingham. The role involves assembling diesel components, diagnosing mechanical faults, and maintaining test equipment. Candidates should have intermediate mechanical fitting skills and a minimum HNC in Engineering or similar. The position offers a pay rate of £14.50 per hour with full-time shifts, providing a dynamic work environment focused on performance and emissions validation.

Qualifications

  • HNC or equivalent Engineering qualification preferred.
  • Engineering-related degree is desirable.
  • Basic risk assessment skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install diesel components onto test rigs.
  • Build and maintain fluid circuits, pipework, and instrumentation.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs or component replacements.
  • Carry out mechanical fitting, disassembly, and reassembly of diesel engines.
  • Record and analyse test data using diagnostic software.
