Job summary

Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains Ltd invites a curious and driven student to join our R&D centre in the UK for a hands-on internship. You will work with our experienced build teams on mechanical, electronic, and hybrid products, gaining hands-on assembly experience and CAD training with Siemens NX.

You will contribute to design activities and help procure ideas to improve our build processes. You will be part of a team focused on reliability and quality, collaborating across departments

Qualifications

• Curious and driven to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• On track to achieve a minimum 2:1 in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Automotive degree.
• Ideally familiar with Siemens NX or Visual Basic.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to engineering challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with our experienced build teams on a variety of mechanical, electronic, and hybrid products.
• Gain hands‑on experience assembling and building critical components.
• Receive training on Siemens NX CAD software and be involved in design activities.
• Participate in designing and procuring innovative ideas to improve our build process and procedures.
• Engage with the team to suggest continuous improvements to product reliability and quality.
• Collaborate across departments in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment where no two days are the same.
• Bring fresh ideas and innovative thinking to help solve engineering challenges and enhance our competitive edge.

What We Need from You
