Job summary

Jewish Care is seeking a warm Activities Programme Assistant for the Sam Beckman Centre to deliver engaging programmes for older people. You’ll work 34 hours weekly, support the Senior Programme Assistant, and help plan activities from exercise to wellbeing sessions.

• Experience of working with older people is preferred.
• Ability to engage and support participants with varied abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a varied programme including social groups, exercise sessions, games and wellbeing activities.
• Encourage participation and adapt activities to individual needs and interests.
• Build positive relationships with members, families and volunteers.
• Support programme planning and administrative tasks using Centre systems.
• Help set up, run and clear down activities ensuring a safe, welcoming space.
