Job summary

Youth Connect South West in Bath is seeking an enthusiastic Engagement Worker to join the Targeted Support Team. You will provide practical and emotional support to young people facing barriers such as family difficulties, low-level mental health challenges, bullying and disengagement from education.

This fixed-term contract runs until May 2027, with potential extension subject to future funding. You will coordinate multi‑agency support, build trusted relationships and help young people access

Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with young people.
  • Experience supporting young people into education, training or employment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • The ability to assess needs, write plans and manage a varied caseload.
  • Commitment to inclusion, equality and enabling young people's voices to be heard.
  • Level 3 qualification in Youth Work, Information Advice and Guidance, or equivalent experience supporting young people.

Are you passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes? We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Engagement Worker to join our Targeted Support Team.Working as part of the Targeted Support Programme, you will provide practical and emotional support to young people facing barriers such as family difficulties, low-level mental health challenges, bullying, and disengagement from education, training or employment.This is an initial fixed-term contract until May 2027. There is potential for the role to be extended beyond this period, subject to confirmation of future contract arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
