North Somerset Safeguarding Partnership (NSSCP) is recruiting an Engagement and Participation Project Officer on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. The role focuses on embedding a new Participation and Lived Experience Model to strengthen how children and families’ voices influence safeguarding policy, practice and improvement.

The postholder will coordinate participation across partner agencies, support governance with lived experience insights, and help ensure voices shape service development

Qualifications

• Experience using lived experience to influence practice or policy.
• Experience coordinating projects, initiatives or service improvement activity.
• Experience working within safeguarding, children's services or multi-agency environments.
• Ability to build effective relationships across organisations.

Responsabilités

• Lead the implementation and embedding of the NSSCP Participation and Lived Experience Model across the safeguarding partnership.
• Improve participation opportunities for children and families to shape safeguarding services.
• Build effective relationships with safeguarding partners across education, health, police, social care and the voluntary sector.
• Use participation findings and lived experience evidence to influence safeguarding policy and practice.
