About Us

Rushcliffe Borough Council provides high quality services to more than 110,000 residents in a borough made up of vibrant towns and stunning villages. Our Council offices are located in West Bridgford, Nottingham in a purpose-built office and leisure centre facility, Rushcliffe Arena.

Engagement Officer - The Role

Leading on the administration of the Council's complaints, Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and wider engagement and consultation activity, you will be expected to uphold and enhance its reputation, responding to residents' and customers' queries. You will be working at the heart of the organisation supporting all departments with requests whilst being responsible for external engagement with communities and stakeholders and internally with Council teams. There is an expectation that you will work from our offices at Rushcliffe Arena on average 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Council's complaints and Freedom of Information (FOI) functions in a coordinating role working with senior officers of the Council
  • Perform engagement, consultation, analysis and wider customer queries roles, undertaking policy development and research as and when required
  • Be the key officer for areas of engagement and consultation with communities, stakeholders and providing advice and support for external and internal engagement and consultation exercises
  • Liaise with Team Leaders in administrating the corporate customer feedback system
  • Be a skilled communicator across teams and take a prominent role in cross cutting projects and future Local Government Reorganisation
