What you’ll do
In this important role on AlixPartners’ Corporate Services Accounting team, you will be a business partner to the client engagement teams and the finance function to ensure efficient and effective e-Billing and client invoicing processes. Your primary responsibilities include coordinating all e-Billing efforts at the firm to support efficient and accurate client invoices and accounting in accordance with firm policies and promoting timely cash collection.
- Support complex electronic billing (e-Billing) for client engagements, including uploading, monitoring, and resolving issues on various e-Billing vendor sites.
- Assist with the management, administration, and maintenance of the e-Billing process. Maintain a profile for each electronic billing vendor used by the firm, including policies, billing guidelines, and contact information. Document e-Billing process procedures, including specific steps for each e-Billing site. Propose best practices for e-Billing.
- Set up and maintain client e-Billing accounts in third-party vendor systems.
- Review e-Billing submissions for accuracy, submit and monitor invoices, and address rejected invoices in a timely manner.
- Submit timekeepers and rates for approval and keep all timekeepers and rates up to date on the sites.
- Enter budgets and accrual information from the engagement team; maintain user accounts and profiles on each site.
- Handle sensitive and urgent information requests from clients, AlixPartners personnel, and other contacts while exercising judgment.
- Maintain and monitor the shared email box for Engagement Accounting and communicate proactively with colleagues to improve order-to-cash processes.
- Balance multiple priorities by considering risk, importance, urgency, and related factors; contribute to a cohesive team environment.

What you’ll need
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business or related field strongly preferred.
- Relevant accounting/finance experience preferred, ideally in a consulting or similar professional services firm.
- Previous experience with Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard (LEDES) preferred.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; able to learn new systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German or English and French. Additional languages are a benefit.
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, particularly for unique projects or needs.
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently, with a positive, entrepreneurial mindset.
